About the Class

Step into Kevin’s Creative Lab — an inspiring space where imagination meets design and storytelling. Led by Animation Director and Art for Life 4 Kids co-founder Kevin McDonagh, this program goes beyond traditional drawing to explore the creative process behind professional art and design.

Students learn character design, composition, visual storytelling, and animation principles, while developing a strong foundation in draftsmanship and creative problem-solving. Each class blends storyboarding, collaborative idea-building, and marketing-style design projects that challenge students to think like both artists and innovators.

Through studying diverse artistic styles and experimenting with new techniques, students build confidence, originality, and their own visual voice. Whether sketching new characters, planning short storyboards, or brainstorming creative campaigns with classmates, Kevin’s Creative Lab is where art, design, and innovation come to life.
